Xu Ke, born in 1996, graduated from the First Studio of the Department of Oil Painting of the Central Academy of Fine Arts as an undergraduate. Now he lives and works in Beijing. In his early years, he was trained in pict painting, and then turned to non-picture painting.

His creation revolves around the internal relationship of painting, focusing on the restraint between color, shape, traces and space. Recent works try to establish a "heavy light feeling" with fewer movements, and determine the advancement and stop of the picture through watching and judging.
